Economic stew with chicken and dumplings - Jamie Oliver version

Fry the sausage slices in a little oil for a few minutes. Then add onions, carrots, potatoes, bay leaves and cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

Add the mushrooms cut in half, chicken, flour and soup and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.

For dumplings, knead a flour dough mixed with baking powder, a little salt and butter until it has the consistency of sand. Add 100 ml of cold water and knead until it becomes a homogeneous dough. It is divided into 8 pieces that are shaped into balls.

Add a little water to the stew, if in the 20 minutes, the sauce has thickened too much. Add salt / pepper and place the dumplings on top.

Cover the pan and place in the preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes, until the dumplings are completely cooked and fluffy,
