I really liked the look of this cake, the fact that it is a dessert without baking, which is easy and quick to prepare, and after I made and tasted it, I can tell you that it also tastes great. It's creamy, fragrant and filling. It has three layers: biscuit, caramel cream and whipped cream. It can be decorated with cream or cream, I preferred to leave it "naked" because I thought it looked very good and so.

There are two more differences between my cake and the original one. First of all, I had to use a special type of Petit Beurre biscuit, a Turkish vanilla assortment with cocoa filling. They are not sandwich biscuits, but they are simply poured like this, with cocoa inside. I didn't find such biscuits, so I used simple cocoa Petit Beurre. The second difference is in the cream. The recipe I found uses commercially available butter, sugar and cocoa pudding - that nasty powder mixed with milk and boiled until it thickens. I chose to prepare a butter cream with Swiss meringue in which I added homemade caramel sauce, according to the recipe from here (link). My cream is thus much more natural, tastier and finer.

We crush the Oreo biscuits and mix them with the melted butter. Put the mixture of Oreo and butter in the pan. Press lightly with your fingers and put the tray in the fridge.

Mix mascarpone cheese with vanilla flavor and powdered sugar. Add lemon juice and mix well with a whisk or a mixer.

Prepare the gelatin according to the instructions on the package. We add it to the mascarpone cheese.

Melt the white chocolate in a bain-marie and let it cool slightly. Add melted white chocolate in mascarpone cheese.

Beat the cream with the mixer until you get a strong cream. Add whipped cream to the mixture of white chocolate and mascarpone. Mix well.

We crumble 100 g of Oreo biscuits. Put 1/3 of the cream over the cookie sheet in the pan. Sprinkle over the crumbled Oreo biscuits and cover with the remaining cream. Spread the cream evenly.

Put the cake in the fridge overnight. The next day, we take the cake out of the fridge, decorate it with Oreo biscuits and grated white chocolate. We cut it into slices, after which we can serve it. Good appetite and increase cooking!

Fasting biscuit cake - recipe


• 1.5 - 2 kg of apples
• 400 g of regular biscuits
• 4 sachets of vanilla pudding
• 200 g of raw sugar
• 1 liter of water or vegetable milk
• 150 g of raisins
• 100 ml of rum essence
• 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
• cinnamon, to taste

Put the raisins soaked in rum essence in a bowl.

Put the water in a small saucepan on the fire. Add the sugar and wait for it to dissolve completely.

Peel the apples, remove the stalks and cut them into small cubes, or grate them.

After the sugar has melted, add the apples to the sweet syrup and cook for a few minutes, until the fruit softens a little. It doesn't have to be porridge.

In a large bowl, place the contents of the pudding envelopes. Add 200 ml of water or vegetable milk and mix well.

After the apples have softened, add the pudding dissolved in water and mix. Let the composition boil for a few minutes, stirring constantly.

After it has thickened, add the drained rum raisins (keep the rum), a little cinnamon, vanilla essence and a pinch of salt.

Start assembling the cake. Place a row of biscuits in a rectangular or square tray. Grease the biscuits with the rum essence left after soaking the raisins, using a kitchen brush.

Add a few tablespoons of the apple mixture while it is hot. Stretch and level. Add another layer of biscuits, syruped with rum and again a layer of cream. Continue like this until you have three layers of biscuits and three layers of cream. The last layer should be cream.

Wait for the apple cream to cool completely, then put the tray in the fridge and leave the cake for a minimum of 3 hours. This will soften the biscuits and make the cream coagulate better. Ideally, leave it in the cold until the next day, so that you can cut it better. It can be portioned into longer squares or pieces.

To make the cake easier to remove from the tray, you can put a plastic wrap in the tray that will come over the walls. When the cake has set, pull on the edges of the foil and remove the cake.
