Shrimp and Grapefruit Salad Ingredients
- Raw frozen shrimps 300 grams

Making shrimp and grapefruit salad:
Step 1: prepare the shrimp.
We spread the shrimp in a plate and leave it aside so that they defrost on their own to room temperature.
After that, we move them to the cutting board and clean our hands off with clean hands. Having made an incision along the back, we remove the intestinal vein.
Pour into the pan 1 tablespoon of olive oil and put on medium heat. When the container with the contents warms up well, put the shrimp into it and lightly salt it. Fry seafood on one side for 2 minutes and immediately after that, using a wooden spatula, turn them over to the other side and also cook 1-2 minutes. Attention: shrimp should turn pink and matte. Then turn off the burner, and transfer the component to a free medium bowl.
Step 2: prepare the salad mix.
Thoroughly wash lettuce leaves under running water to wash away any dirt and sand. After that, place them in one layer on a cloth towel and leave aside so that the glass is excess liquid.
Step 3: prepare the dill.
We wash the dill under running water, shake off excess liquid and then wipe it dry with kitchen paper towels. We spread the greens on a cutting board and finely chop with a knife. Pour the crushed component into a clean saucer.
Step 4: prepare the garlic.
Using a knife, peel the garlic from the husks and rinse slightly under running water. We spread the component on a cutting board and grind it with a knife. Pour finely chopped cloves into a free saucer.
Step 5: prepare the grapefruit.
We wash the grapefruit under running water and put it on a cutting board. We cut one citrus with a knife into two halves. Using a juicer, squeeze the juice from each part and then pour it into a clean bowl. It should be approximately 120-140 milliliters.
Peel another grapefruit with a knife. Carefully separate the slices from each other and then free them from the films. We cut each piece into several parts and transfer to a clean plate.
Step 6: prepare the avocado.
We rinse the avocado under running water, wipe it dry with kitchen paper towels and put it on a cutting board. We cut the component into two halves, making circular movements around the bone. Using a tablespoon or knife, we take it out of the pulp. Squeeze out the juice from half the lemon with clean hands and sprinkle the avocado with it.
Now carefully remove the peel with a knife and cut the component into thin slices. Once again, sprinkle everything with the remaining lemon juice and transfer to a clean bowl.
Step 7: prepare black pepper with peas.
Pour peas of black pepper into the hand-made mortar to taste and, using the pestle, push to a powder state. Such seasoning will give the dish a more expressive aroma and taste compared to already prepared ground pepper.
Step 8: preparing a gas station.
Pour grapefruit juice, wine vinegar into a small bowl, 4-5 tablespoons of olive oil, as well as add icing sugar, chopped garlic, dill, salt to taste and freshly ground black pepper. Using a tablespoon, mix everything thoroughly until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
Step 9: pickle the shrimp.
Pour dressing into a bowl with shrimps, mix everything carefully and leave to marinate for 10 minutes. During this time, seafood will have time to soak in the aroma and taste of all the ingredients that make up this mixture.
Step 10: prepare a salad with shrimp and grapefruit.
Spread the salad mix evenly on a special flat plate. Then we place on the whole surface of the shrimp, slices of grapefruit and slices of avocado. The remaining salad dressing is poured into a saucepan and we can serve the dish to the dining table.
Step 11: serve shrimp and grapefruit salad.
Before serving, pour salad dressing and decorate with pine nuts. The last ingredient can be added at will, all the same the dish will be amazingly delicious and unique.
- To make a salad, it is best to take king prawns of a large size;
- if you do not like the bitter taste in the dishes, then you can replace one grapefruit with an orange, but still recommend adding freshly squeezed juice of the first citrus to the dressing;
- instead of dill, you can add parsley to the dressing. It also turns out very tasty and aromatic.
