Cooking a lean salad with squid:

Step 1: prepare the ingredients.

To start, prepare all the ingredients. We wash cucumber, tomato and fresh lettuce under cold running water. Then we dry the vegetables with paper kitchen towels, and with the greens we shake off the excess liquid.
Cut off the tips of the cucumber on both sides, and at the tomato - the place on which the stalk was attached. Then, in turn, put them on a cutting board and grind them: with layers, rings, quarters, half rings, cubes, or as you like.
The shape of the slices is unprincipled, but it is desirable that the size of the slices does not exceed 3 centimeters, and the thickness is 1 - 1.5 centimeters, then the vegetables will let in a lot of juice and soak evenly with dressing.
When the issue with slicing is resolved, we transfer the crushed products into a bowl. There, we clean salad leaves with clean hands.

After that, using a can opener, open a jar of squid and drop its contents into a colander. We leave in it seafood on 5 - 7 minutesso that the remaining liquid drains, and then act as desired.
If these are squid rings, you can leave them whole or chop with a thin straw, but sometimes they can be preserved in sliced ​​form, then there is simply no choice. We shift the prepared seafood into a bowl with chopped vegetables and proceed to the next step.

Step 2: prepare the squid salad.

In a bowl with squid, vegetables, and salad leaves, add salt and black pepper to taste. Thoroughly mix everything until a homogeneous consistency, season with freshly squeezed lemon juice and vegetable oil. Again, mix all the components of the salad until smooth, transfer the finished dish to the salad bowl and serve.

Step 3: serve the squid salad.

Salad with squid is served immediately after cooking. It is mainly served as an appetizer in front of the main hot dishes, but if you cooked this dish for dinner or breakfast, then you can simply supplement this yummy with steamed vegetables, boiled pasta, cereals from different cereals, potato patties or any other lean dishes.
