Cooking pears in honey:

Step 1: prepare the pears.

First of all, cut the lemon into 2 equal halves, use one to prepare any other delicious dishes, and we will need the second later. Now we wash 6 small, solid pears under cold running water and dip them with paper towels from excess moisture. After we take 1 pear and cut off the skin. Immediately squeeze a little lemon juice on the fruit so that the pear does not darken. Then we cut it into 2 halves, on one of them you can leave a tail. Also, without delay we process slices with lemon juice. In the same way we prepare the remaining pears, leave them on a cutting board and proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Cook the pears.

We take a deep, but narrow stewpan, pour 500 milliliters of pure water into it, pour 250 grams of granulated sugar and put it on a stove that is turned on to a medium level. When the liquid boils, cook a light sugar syrup for 2 to 3 minutes.
Then gently lower the pears into it, reduce the temperature of the plate to a level between the smallest and medium and cook them until softened. Cooking time depends on the variety of pears and ranges from 25 to 40 minutes, so we periodically check their readiness with a wooden kitchen skewer, if it enters the fruit pulp without pressure, then they are ready. When the pears soften, shift them with a slotted spoon to a large flat dish.

Step 3: prepare honey sauce.

Now we pour 50 milliliters of light syrup into a measuring cup, in which pears were cooked, pour the rest into any other container, later it can be used for making compotes, jelly from citrus fruits or for any other sweet dishes.
Wash the stewpan, dry and put it again on the stove, which is turned on to the middle level. When the container is slightly warmed up, put 2 tablespoons of butter in it and wait for it to melt a little. Then add to the stewpan 40 grams of honey, 50 milliliters of sugar syrup, a pinch of ground nutmeg, allspice, cloves and mix with a tablespoon to a homogeneous consistency.

Step 4: bring the dessert to full readiness.

After the aromatic mixture boils, put the boiled pears in it and cook them in honey sauce 40 - 50 seconds to each side. Then we again remove them from the stewpan, helping ourselves with the same slotted spoon, and boil the sauce until it is slightly thickened, this will take no more than 2 - 3 minutes.

Step 5: serve the pears in honey.

Pears in honey are served warm as a dessert. From the above number of ingredients, 3 large portions or 6 small portions come out. After cooking, warm pear halves are laid out on plates, deep but not tall glasses or creamers; watered with hot honey syrup and served on a sweet table with forks.
If desired, this yummy can be supplemented with ice cream, chocolate chips, fresh finely chopped fruits or berries, walnuts or other nuts. An ideal, sweet dessert is not only delicious, but also due to honey is very useful. Enjoy it!

Recipe Tips:

- Instead of natural lemon juice, concentrated lemon juice can be used.

- The set of spices indicated in the ingredients can be varied in taste and composition.

- Instead of a stewpan, you can use a small cast-iron cauldron.

- Sometimes a couple of tablespoons of red wine is added to honey syrup for a more spicy aroma and taste.

- Sometimes in a sugar syrup, in which pears are first boiled, add a piece of chopped ginger (diameter of a piece of 2 centimeters) and a stick of cinnamon (length up to 8 centimeters).
