Chicken legs with sauce


Ingredients for Cooking Chicken Legs with Sauce

Cooking chicken legs with sauce:

Step 1: Prepare the vegetables.


We start cooking with the preparation of vegetables. We clear the onion from the husk, rinse under running water, put on a cutting board and cut into small cubes or thin half rings. Then we shift to a clean plate.

Garlic cloves are also peeled and chopped. Finely chopping is not worth it just cut across the plates. We put the garlic in a separate plate.

We wash the carrots under running water and peel in the usual way from the skin. Then we lay on a cutting board and grind as desired: slices, circles or a small cube. Carrots can be left on a cutting board.

Step 2: Prepare the chicken legs.


Thoroughly wash chicken legs under cold running water, wipe with paper kitchen towels or napkins, put on a plate and sprinkle on all sides, with a mixture of peppers, paprika and salt.

Step 3: Fry the vegetables.


We choose a pan so that it can be put in the oven, for example, cast iron.
So, turn on the medium heat on the stove, pour vegetable oil into the selected pan and put on the burner. Across 2 - 3 minutes put the onion, fry it about 3 minutesstirring occasionally.

Then add a mixture of peppers and paprika, mix again and pour a little clean water about 100 ml
Now spread the carrots and stew 5 minutes.

Step 4: Bake chicken with vegetables.


Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Add garlic, tomato paste to the pan, mix thoroughly, lay chicken legs, pour enough water so that it covers the meat almost completely and sprinkle with salt to taste.

Now open the oven, set the wire rack on the middle rack, put the pan with chicken on it and bake the dish for 15 - 20 minutes. Then turn the legs to the other side and continue to bake another 15 to 20 minutes.

We take out the finished meat from the oven, put the pan on the stove, mix the sauce and cover it for 5-7 minutes.

Step 5: Serve the chicken legs with the sauce.


Serve hot chicken legs with a side dish and certainly with a delicious aromatic vegetable sauce. Fresh greens will be a wonderful decoration, and a side dish can be prepared to your own taste, because chicken is suitable for pasta, various boiled cereals, and vegetables, for example, mashed potatoes. Recipe Tips:

- Chicken is not necessary to bake in the oven, you can cook it on the stove. To do this, bring the sauce to a boil and simmer over low heat under a closed lid for about 40 to 50 minutes or until the meat is cooked.

- In this way, you can cook not only chicken legs, but also other parts of the chicken.

- Tomato paste can be safely replaced with fresh tomatoes, which are better to peel.

- Chicken legs before adding to the pan can be fried in a pan to a beautiful golden crust, you do not need to bring it to full readiness at this stage.
