Braised beef with onions

Ingredients for Cooking Beef Stew with Onions

The main

  1. Veal or beef (tenderloin) 500 grams
  2. Onions (white or red) 2 pieces
  3. Garlic 2 cloves (large)
  4. Ginger (dried) 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Green chili pepper
  6. Water or meat broth 150 milliliters
  7. Soy sauce 3 tablespoons
  8. Oyster sauce 1 tablespoon
  9. Pinch of salt
  10. Vegetable oil 4 tablespoons

For marinade

  1. Soy sauce 3 tablespoons
  2. Sesame oil 1/2 tablespoon
  3. Starch 3 teaspoons
  4. Water 2 tablespoons

Cooking Braised Beef with Onions:

Step 1: prepare the meat.

Cut the beef or veal fillet into very thin slices, perpendicular to the fibers. And then slice the meat into small cubes.

Step 2: pickle the meat.

Mix the meat with all the ingredients necessary for the preparation of the marinade and, closing it tightly, put in the refrigerator for 30 minutesso that the beef is saturated with aromas and becomes softer.

Step 3: saute the onions.

In a wok pan, heat 2 tablespoons oil, add chopped cloves of garlic, chopped chili peppers and ginger. Mix everything very quickly and fry until the garlic gives flavor.
Add feather-chopped onions to the pan. Add a pinch of salt and fry everything for 3-4 minutes.
Then remove the onions from the pan.

Step 4: stew the beef.

Add to the same pan in which the onions were cooked, 2 tablespoons butter and when it warms up, drop the pickled meat. Cook the beef often by stirring until it changes color.

Add to meat 150 milliliters water or broth and cook everything until the sauce thickens, that is, about 2 minutes after boiling.

Step 5: Stew the beef with onions.

Add the fried onions to the meat, along with garlic and chili. Stir everything together and heat for another 2 minutes.

Add oyster and soy sauce, mix and warm a little more, bringing the dish to full readiness. Remove from heat, check for salt, and then serve.

Step 6: Serve the braised beef with onions.

Serve stewed beef with onions under a side dish of boiled rice. A very tasty and satisfying main main course is obtained. Cook and eat for health.

Recipe Tips:

- When thawing meat, do not use a microwave or hot water. First transfer the beef from the freezer to the refrigerator, and then, when the ice is gone, let the meat warm at room temperature.
