Cooking chokeberry jam with plums:

Step 1: freeze chokeberry.

Sort the chokeberry, remove from the twigs, peel off the leaves and rinse thoroughly. Then dry the berries and freeze them in the freezer for at least one hour.
Then transfer the frozen berries of the mountain ash to a pan with a thick bottom and cover them with sugar.

Step 2: Cook Chokeberry.

While stirring, boil mountain ash with sugar for 30 minutes over medium or low heat (it depends on your stove and pan).

Step 3: prepare the plums.

While the chokeberry is cooked, rinse the plums and remove the seeds from them, at the same time cutting the fruit on 4-6 parts.

Step 4: prepare jam from aronia with plums.

Add the prepared plums to the boiling berries of the aronia and mix.
Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour.
After the first cooking, let the jam cool completely at room temperature. Do not forget to cover it with something to prevent dust and insects.

Then bring the jam to a boil again and boil it until the mass becomes thicker (for one hour, about).
At the very end of cooking, add lemon juice and seeds from the vanilla pod. Stir the prepared jam well.
Now lay the chokeberry jam with plums in prepared sterile jars. Close the lids and turn upside down. Let the banks stand like that 10-15 minutesand then turn them over to their original position and let them cool.
When the jam becomes room temperature, it can be hidden in a pantry or closet.

Step 5: serve aronia jam with plums.

Chokeberry jam with plums is very tasty in any form, so you don’t even have to puzzle over what to serve it with. Just open the jar and that’s it. A sweet and thick treat will go with anything from toast to pancakes.
Enjoy your meal!
