Cottage Cheese Pie

Ingredients for making cottage cheese and berry pie

For the test

  2. Fresh curd 250 grams

  5. Sour cream or natural yogurt 2 tablespoons

Cooking cottage cheese and berry pie:

Step 1: prepare the dough.

Sift the wheat flour and then mix it with eggs, butter, and sugar. Add soda and dry yeast. Then pour the zest of lemon and orange into the dough. Now, gradually pouring cold water, knead the elastic dough. The finished mass should not stick to the hands and edges of the plate.
After kneading, you need to put the dough in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, and do not forget to cover it with something, so that the mass does not wind.
Mash the cooled dough, form a layer of medium thickness from it and immediately lay it on the bottom of the mold. I recommend covering the baking dish with baking paper so that nothing sticks to it.

Step 2: prepare the filling.

Mix fresh cottage cheese with eggs, sugar and sour cream or yogurt. Mash everything very well so that the mass becomes homogeneous.

Step 3: form a curd and berry pie.

Transfer the curd to the dough and flatten the top a little.

Rinse fresh berries, sort through, removing all twigs, leaves and other plant debris. And then sprinkle the prepared berries on top of the curd mass. "Drown" them in the curd is not necessary.

Step 4: bake cottage cheese and berry pie.

You need to bake cottage cheese and berry pie in a well preheated 160 degrees the oven. And hold there until the top of the product is browned properly and grasped.

After baking, cool the finished cake by taking it out of the mold, then sprinkle it with sugar or powdered sugar to taste.
