Ingredients for cooking chicken with bell peppers and tomatoes
- Tomatoes (pink and green) 1 kilogram
- 5 chicken thighs
- Bulgarian red pepper 1 piece
- Onions 3 pieces (small)

Cooking chicken with bell peppers and tomatoes:
Step 1: Prepare the ingredients.
Chicken thighs must be completely thawed, washed well and dried. If you want, you can remove the skin from the meat, then the dish will come out less greasy.
Rinse the peppers and tomatoes well. Peel onions, peppers - from seeds and legs. Dice all the vegetables into cubes of approximately the same size, but do not mix with each other yet.
Step 2: Fry the chicken with pepper.
Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the bell pepper and onion in it. When the vegetables are softer, remove them from the heat. And in the same pan, fry the chicken thighs, laying them skin down. Toast for 10 minutes over medium heat.
At the end of frying, poultry meat and vegetables must be seasoned with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3: Stew the chicken with bell peppers and tomatoes in the oven.
Lubricate the baking dish with a little oil and lay half the sliced tomato at the very bottom. Salt and pepper to taste. Then lay the chicken thighs, sprinkling them with stewed bell peppers and onions. After that comes a layer of the remaining tomatoes and again salt and pepper to taste. Cover the mold to prevent moisture from evaporating.
Send chicken with bell peppers and tomatoes to a well preheated oven (180-190 degrees) on 35-40 minutes.
When you open the lid, you will see that the tomatoes gave a lot of juice, in which the chicken was stewed. The meat is therefore very tender and delicious. It remains only to sprinkle everything on top with chopped parsley and you can serve it to the table!
Step 4: Serve the chicken with bell peppers and tomatoes.
Serve chicken with bell pepper and tomatoes as an independent hot dish along with the broth, in which everything was stewed. In my opinion, you can do it without a side dish, but something like boiled potatoes or rice may come in handy. And do not forget to add sour cream.

- To taste to the stewed chicken, you can add carrots, zucchini or other vegetables, then you will get stew.
- If you do not have a baking dish with a lid on the farm, cover everything with foil, tightly fastening it around the edges. The foil will retain moisture as well as the lid.
