Cooking strawberry jam for the winter:

Step 1: prepare the berries.

First of all, strawberries need to be sorted out, removing the spoiled berries and accidentally caught grass. Then it needs to be soaked for some time in water to get rid of adhering grains of sand, for this I just dip the strawberries in a sink or basin filled with cool water.

From washed berries, cut green tails and beaten places. After that, strawberries need to be passed through a meat grinder to turn it into a delicious and thick mashed potatoes.
Attention: some housewives suggest using a blender, but it has already been tested several times, and not only by me, that the jam in this case does not become thick enough.

Step 2: boil strawberry jam.

In a large saucepan, mix the resulting strawberry puree and granulated sugar. Put everything on medium heat and bring to a boil. Once the mixture is boiling, turn down the heat and simmer the berry puree for 30 minutes. Remove the pan with the future jam from the heat and cool to room temperature. After cooling, the berry mixture must be boiled again, and then cooled and the same procedure of all procedures repeated again. Just jam should boil three times. After the third, last time, it is not necessary to cool the berry puree with sugar.
Attention: even if your berry puree cools for a long time, it's okay, be sure to wait until it reaches the right temperature.

Step 3: we prepare strawberry jam for the winter.

Pour hot strawberry jam into dry, sterilized jars and immediately plug them tightly with dry boiled lids. Turn the workpieces upside down and leave in this position until completely cooled.
After the strawberry jam in the jars has cooled, hide it in a dark and cool place where it will wait for the moment when you want to feast on it.

Step 4: serve strawberry jam.

Strawberry jam is thick enough to add to various pastries or use as a sweet sauce for pancakes and pancakes. But the tastiest thing, of course, is simply to spread it on toasted bread and eat it with a strong unsweetened tea.
