Ingredients for Cooking Coleslaw with Orange

For salad

Cooking cabbage salad with orange:

Step 1: Prepare the cabbage.

Rinse the cabbage and tear off the dried leaves from it. Also, be sure to remove the stump from the head of cabbage. Divide the remaining cabbage in half and, stacking each of the parts alternately on a cutting board, finely chop it with stripes.
Pour the chopped cabbage leaves into a salad bowl, add a little salt, literally on the tip of the knife, and mix with your hands, slightly kneading and squeezing the juice.

Step 2: Prepare the oranges.

Rinse both oranges thoroughly with warm running water. Now take one of the fruits first and with a knife cut the zest from it together with a whitish skin so that you have one bare pulp left in front of you. Cut the peeled fruit into thin slices, simultaneously picking out the seeds from them. Then cut the resulting circles into even smaller slices.
Now go back to the remaining orange. Divide it into halves and squeeze juice out of each using a special device. If you do not have a juicer, then you can do it by hand, but then you need to cut the orange into slices, and then cut each of the slices in two places, without cutting to the zest. After such simple actions, squeezing the juice manually from an orange will be easier.

Step 3: Prepare the greens.

Rinse the greens with warm water to make the parsley more aromatic. Shake off the leaves from excess moisture and cut them into small pieces, it is not necessary to finely chop and shred the greens into porridge.

Step 4: We are preparing refueling.

Pour the juice of one orange into a sufficiently large bowl, then add wine or apple vinegar and olive oil to it. Mix all these ingredients with a fork so that the liquid becomes more uniform.

Step 5: Mix the coleslaw with the orange.

In a salad bowl with mashed cabbage and salt, put together pieces of orange pulp, parsley and basil. If necessary, add more salt, and also sprinkle everything with black ground pepper. Lastly, pour in a specially prepared dressing and mix the salad thoroughly, after which it will be completely ready for serving.

Step 6: Serve the coleslaw with orange.

Coleslaw with orange is not only tasty and original in itself, but will also help you to emphasize your main main course, especially if it is made from poultry or fish. Therefore, do not hesitate to serve it for your ordinary lunch or dinner, and pamper your guests with it.
