Step 1: prepare the ingredients.

Such an everyday dish will perfectly diversify the table and give pleasant minutes of pleasure, but first we will prepare the products. We take fresh chicken fillet, wash it under a stream of cold running water, dry it with paper kitchen towels, put it on a cutting board and use a clean knife to remove the film, excess fat, and also cartilage from it. After that, cut the meat into small portioned pieces from 2.5 to 3 centimeters in size and transfer them to a clean dish.

Then, using a new kitchen knife, peel the vegetables indicated in the recipe, rinse them, dry, send them to a clean board and chop. We chop the onion with cubes, straws, half rings, quarters or rings up to 1 centimeter thick. We cut the potatoes into slices up to 3 centimeters in size, fold them into a deep bowl, fill them with running water so that they completely cover, and leave them in this form until use, now it will not darken. Then we lay out on the countertop all the other ingredients that will be needed to prepare the dish, and proceed to the next step.

Step 2: cook the chicken in mayonnaise with potatoes.

We put a deep frying pan on medium heat and put a piece of butter in it. After a few minutes, when the fat melts, and also warms up a little, dip the chopped onion into it. We pass the vegetable to transparency and light softness, constantly stirring with a wooden kitchen spatula. Strong frying is not necessary, this dish should turn out tender. Therefore, when the vegetable reaches the desired consistency, immediately add the chicken to it and fill it with the right amount of broth. Stew meat for 10 minutes until half-ready, for which it will release a lot of juice and will practically float in the liquid, but do not worry, through 5-7 minutes moisture will begin to evaporate, although not completely - it should be so.

After the right time, add the washed-out potato, laurel leaf, mayonnaise to the fillet, salt and black pepper to taste. Mix everything until smooth, taste it and, if necessary, add more spices. After boiling, reduce the fire level to a minimum and cover the already fragrant dish with a lid, so that there are no gaps. Simmer it for 20-25 minutes until fully prepared, although the duration of the process can vary, it all depends on slicing the potatoes, when it becomes soft, you can turn off the stove. Then we insist on the resulting culinary masterpiece in private 7-10 minutes, then distribute it in portions on the plates and go to taste it!

Step 3: serve the chicken in mayonnaise with potatoes.
